What do you guys use to clean off existing tire shine?

My go to is Meguiars D143 diluted 2:1 [2 parts water 1 part concentrate] + cleans wheels too. Easily 1 of my top 5 fav. products.

If it is really greasy tire shine that barely moves with APC try Stoners Tarminator. Spray it on a MF and the wipe 1/4 of the tire. Spray more on new face of MF then wipe next 1/4 of tire, etc.

Then finish with your normal tire cleaner to make sure all the Tarminator solvents/cleaners are removed.

I'll second Eldorado2K's post. The Meguiar's Non-Acid Wheel & Tire Cleaner is great for removing unwanted "stuff" from tires & wheels. SOME of the nastier tire coatings may require 2 applications, but it will get it all off. (The Consumer-line Hot Shine Wheel & Tire Cleaner also works well).

Meguiars Hot Rims All Wheel & Tire Cleaner, cleaner for factory wheels this will get the job done..if you like gallon d143 is safe to use..i personally use hot rims but looking for something similar in gallon size..one car and my hot rims bottle is half way done..not economical since i own 3 cars..

I use TUF SHINE Tire Cleaner
to clean off greasy tire shine.
