How To Uninstall Skype Windows 10

Doesn't piece of work for me... information technology's not listed as an installed plan - although it's certainly there.. hogging the CPU from time to fourth dimension.

How can it be tamed in Windows 10 since it is integrated into W10 somehow... and I practise want to use information technology from fourth dimension to time.. so I don't really want to completely get rid of information technology... but I don't like it hogging the CPU... which it does a lot sometimes. On both desktop PC and on my laptop.

Equally you mentioned that yous do not want to uninstall Skype and that it takes most of the CPU resources, please effort to run a make clean boot and check if it helps.

Putting your organisation in Clean Boot land helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the result. Y'all need to follow the steps from the commodity mentioned beneath to perform a Clean Kick.

I don't meet any Skyp'south in :Control Panel> Programs and feature> select skype>uninstall but I see information technology in the tsk manager - skype 32 nd 64 bits

Didn't help. And given the book of complaints about this all over the web, I'one thousand non surprised.

However, I've now upgraded to W10 Anniversary release, which is supposed to take fixed this egregious fault. Nosotros'll see.

I don't know version of Skype you are running only I had the misfortune of test driving Skype for Windows 10. Information technology doesn't uninstall the conventional fashion.

To uninstall Skype for Windows 10

1. Click the start window icon on your taskbar

two. Type powershell. Lookout man it will observe the link before you get likewise far into typing.

iii. Right-click on the Powershell start menu and select "Run equally administrator"

iv enter this command: get-appxpackage *skype* | remove-appxpackage

one. On far right of task bar click on Notifcations icon.

2. Click on All Settings.

3. Click on Apps.

four. Curlicue down to Skype.

v. 1 left-click on Skype (volition display buttons in a drop-down.)

six. Click Uninstall push.

Skype is at present gone.

If this dosent work, you need to reboot into rubber fashion, and and so uninstall it from there. some of the bloatware windows at present ships with is dug in like an Alabama tic!
